I got into my first band, the "Sound Syndicate",
in 1969 (rhythm guitar). I ran prog-rock bands all throughout High School,
and moved on to Berklee College in the mid-70s. I hit the road after
that, alternately playing the Holiday Inn circuit and slogging the Boston
club scene.
I left the music biz for a bit to get some computer
training, but MIDI and the burgeoning computer music scene sucked me
back in. I returned to school at UMass-Lowell and graduated from the
nationally renowned Sound Recording Technology program in the early
90s.
Since then I've worked days at industry-leading
companies such as Avid Technologies and Kurzweil Music Systems before
hanging up my shingle as a composer-for-hire in early 2002.
Throughout, I've always kept a hand in live music,
currently appearing in "Beethoven
Face": Two guys with acoustic guitars and an attitude.
